Multiple fuel types and grades (up to 4 for FLEET-2xx, 32 for C6000) can all be independently controlled by a single cardlock terminal. Access codes, whether they be keypad entry, Magstripe card, or read by an RFID proximity detector, can be programmed to restrict access to any combination of products on a particular site. The user simply keys in the desired pump number on the Computrol terminal, and the system checks that they are authorized to take that product. This feature is used to ensure that the right fuel-type goes into the right vehicle, that a customer cannot take fuel that they are not entitled to (e.g. dyed gas, etc.), or that specialty fuels (i.e. propane or LNG) can only be dispensed by personnel with the appropriate training.
